Bunchung Eye Camp  -  

More than 500 residents of the three villages’ development committee administered by the Nalang Village Development Committee received Eye Service at the coordinating of EPF Nepal and assisting of Kantipur Lions Club, Sushma Koirala Memorial Trust and Utprerak Samaj Dhading on 12th – 13th January, 2007 at Bungchu.

Working literally from dawn until dusk, eight Nepali eye specialists and two assistant labored diligently to serve the long lines of local village residents that attended the two days Eye camp held at Bungchu Nalang.

The Program Plan:

Ecological Protection Forum was very happy to participate once again with another local NGO of Nepal Utprerak Samaj Dhading and International Non governmental Organization Kantipur Lions Club and Sushma Koirala Memorial Trust to support a village eye camp in Dhading District. Two weeks period was remaining to the scheduled Camp, We promoted by posters and banner in the three village development committee with in few days of Nalang, Salang And Kumpur Village Development committees. One of the challenges of the program is to involve the number of patients that will attend the clinic, who have suffering through retina.

As always, we were received by the local people with warm hospitality and great appreciation for the hard work of the volunteers.

Eye Clinic

This left the entire eye camp program in the very capable and hard working hands of doctors of the T. U. Teaching B. P Koirala Eye Hospital Kathmandu, who was volunteering for the first time at an EPF Health Camp. This active team was able to treat more than 500 Eye patients in just one and half day! Eye services included Cataract. More than 40 retina people have got Cataract from the B. P Koirala Eye hospital after the camp.
