Meeting of Pashupati Women's Agricultural Cooperative in Sankosh, Dhading  -  16/07/2009

The target of PWAC is to help village women to develop their economy strength through community. EPF-NEPAL played a consultative role to establish the framework of PWAC and supervised the progress and problem solving.

The meeting was held on 16 July 2009 in Pashupati Secondary School gathered around 150 women (total more than 350 women are included in this program) to elect the executive members of PWAC and to clarify the operation of this program. The chairman of EPF-NEPAL, Mr. Ramesh Dhamala delivered one-hour speech to explain the monitoring system and credit record system by the means of computer and projector. The initial data was collected by Ms. Kanchhi Ale Magar who is the field worker of EPF-NEPAL, assisted by an American volunteer, Ms. Sarah Olson to input the data and photos, post-edited by Ms. Monica Lin, the consultant of EPF-NEPAL. Each data sheet contains individual membership number, with the detail of bio-data, such as date of birth and husband's name, address and etc. The credit and loan record are listed below each membership card with the details of interest and repay date.

Demonstrating the computerized data to public through projector, we would like to illustrate the transparent operation and build up the mutual trust between community and individual members. The regular meeting will be held by the new executive team with the supervision from board members and EPF-NEPAL.
